So…I decided to share some snapshots from my winter wellness routine! In this post I’m gonna go over diet, exercise and other spiritual-related things I’ve been doing to stay healthy and probably most important of all WARM, in the winter time.
But first…a little life update…
My life has been a little more…still and structured because of my school and work schedule (I’m finishing my degree in film/tv, and the pace has actually been very different.
The last two years I’ve been travelling a lot. I went to Mexico for 6 months, then to England, then Bali and each time I went for several months.
And when I was travelling, every day was different! I was constantly doing new things. So… going to school and living a more scheduled life feels a bit… stagnant, but it’s something I’m getting used to.
I’ve also been diving deep into spiritual and esoteric topics. Seriously… leave me to my own devices and I will go far down the rabbit hole, it’s just how my mind works 😛!
***I also just opened my readings shop. I’ve been getting a lot of people asking for readings, but I didn’t want to open my shop without feeling ready.

Here’s my winter wellness routine!
1. Diet
Maybe 1 year ago, I started to find out about this more “bio-energetic” way of eating.
I came across this page on instagram called @theedgecontent. If you look at her photos, she looks super vibrant and healthy. She shows pictures of her in her late 20 compared to now (in her late 40s) and she actually looks younger in her 40s?! Like what?!
So…that definitely made me pay attention to her teachings…
She follows the research of Ray Peat, who specializes in something called bio-energetic nutrition. I actually think he invented it?
And his whole thing is only eating the most nutritious and healing foods possible.
She will eat things like shrimp, a glass of milk and fruit as a meal because those foods are the highest in nutrition. It’s like getting the most bang for your buck and this boosts your health in very big ways, it seems…
So, anyways…here are some things I’ve been eating, partly inspired by her advice:
1. Breakfast:
Usually before I have my main breakfast I will always have fruit! This is what I’ve been eating:
@theedgecontent recommends oranges as the best fruit you can eat, but honestly…it looks like all fruit is recommended!
Raw apples and pears are not recommended, I think they’re just not as easily digested. So cooking them is the way to go:
2. Lunch/Dinner
I’m sure you guys are the same but I tend to make more soups in the winter:
3. Snacks
@theedgecontent recommends to have at least 2 tbsp of gelatin per day and she says that ice cream is one of the best foods you can eat (what?!). Remember, the goal is bio-energetic here. So… here are some snacks I’ve been eating:
Carrots are also highly recommended because there’s a certain fiber in raw carrots that are good for your digestion (?!), same with cooked mushrooms.
4. Drinks
I still drink my green juice in the winter! Gotta have it 😛.
Besides green juice (and hot apple cider), I drink maybe 2 herbal teas per day, rotating between these:
Cinnamon tea (good for balancing blood sugar)
Rose tea (connects you to a higher love)
Roasted dandelion root tea (I’m focusing on liver health atm)
Chaga tea (go to my “health” highlight on Instagram for chaga tea recipe)
Check my rose tea experiment post if you haven’t already:
5. Supplements
I've been working with @andra.naturopathy (she is so smart when it comes to nutrition, a very deep thinker and I love that!) and she prescribed me these supplements:
Magnesium: If you are a highly sensitive person, you should be taking it, just trust me! It will change your whole life experience. It’s almost protective, in a way. Check out @nutritionelements for more on the spiritual effects of magnesium.
Beef organs: for iron supplementation. I am naturally low in iron and @andra.naturopathy said having a full-spectrum organ supplement is better than JUST beef liver.
Maldon salt: My sister channeled that Maldon salt has spiritual powers LOL and that the Druids used to use it for spiritual protection. I sprinkle a bit in water and drink it just cause I wanna be like a Druid…basically 😆…and think I was one in a past life so…
Liver support: @andra.naturopathy wanted to do a parasite/candida cleanse with me, so I’m supposed to take this supplement for the liver first and then take the actual herbs for the cleanse. I am ultra sensitive to detoxes and cleanses so I need to go super, super slow with it.
I’ve also been taking chlorophyll which @andra.naturopathy recommends to take in the winter specifically. It makes up for the lack of sun somehow.
…An interesting fact on chlorophyll I pulled from the book “Bright Earth”:
They say human blood is very similar in structure to chlorophyll (plant blood)!
I also talk more about chlorophyl here:
2. Exercise
Exercise is always very simple for me.
I am continuing to do my pilates a 4-5 times a week. I like Eleni Fit on Youtube!
And…most days I walk at least one hour, sometimes even two hours, since I live in a big city. I’m literally always walking.
3. Spiritual/energetic health
I’ve been doing a few things lately for my spiritual health…
“The Workout Witch” trauma release program
I am around half way through “The Workout Witch” trauma release program (It’s the 3 course bundle), and yes…it works!
The exercises help you kinda shake out stress that’s stored in your body, like how animals do.
It’s just very relaxing, and sometimes I catch different emotions coming up, I guess that’s the stored trauma being released. It really reminds me of EMDR actually.
Shungite
On my IG stories, I’ve been talking about how I always have felt very strong vibrations coming off my phone, I guess this is because of my super sensitive nerves. But… I wanted to find something that would block them entirely.
And I did buy these EMF blockers from this company called BonCharge and guess what?…they didn’t even work! Maybe blocked 10% of the total EMF waves?! Pointless product?!
So, I bought some shungite tiles to put on the back of my phone from this store on Etsy. It’s pure Russian shungite and it blocks pretty much ALL the vibrations when I put 3 on my phone. 2 of them will block 80%, so I found I needed 3 to totally neutralize it.
Hemlock & Oak planner
I notoriously live in feminine flow but, have realized that I need to balance myself more, so I bought this super beautiful day planner from Hemlock & Oak. And because it’s so nice looking and expensive (lol), I’ll be more motivated to actually use it and plan out my days.
This is me trying to develop my HEALTHY masculine energy 😆!!
Gua Sha
I’m putting this in the spiritual wellness category because I find gua sha releases the whole body, not just the face.
I don’t really follow any videos, just kind of do it intuitively and smooth out muscles on my face! Watch an instructional video on Youtube before trying for the first time, but it’s pretty simple after awhile.
4. Hair/beauty
For some reason, I’ve been really focused on hair in this fall/winter season. I want to grow my hair long and get that mermaid flow LOL! Can you blame me? 🧜♀️
I discovered this girl @taylor_jade1 on Instagram. She talks about hair health and specifically… ACV rinses and hair oiling!
So I’ve been doing an ACV rinse maybe every second week and oiling my hair before I wash it. It definitely makes a difference!
The ACV actually makes your hair more soft which was unexpected…
Maybe it’s because it dissolves all the built up minerals and residue, so you’re left with really clean hair.
I mix 1 part apple cider vinegar and 5 parts water and rub it into my scalp in the shower, then shampoo it out and will do this every 2 weeks.
Also, before I wash my hair, I will rub almond oil into my scalp and kinda run it down the lengths of my hair, let it sit for couple hours, then wash out.
5. Keeping warm
Yes I’m one of those girls who is always cold, and in the winter I have to put extra effort in to make sure I’m warm 🙏
One thing I do is wear thick, thigh high socks under my jeans:
Also, at night I will put a hot water bottle at the foot of my bed and wear either thick socks (so I don’t get burnt) or wrap the bottle in a blanket.
I find that when your feet are warm, your whole body gets warm. There’s something about putting the bottle at your feet.
You can get a hot water bottle really cheap online, I just use the basic rubber one:
When I do this consistently I’ll wake up in the morning and feel so calm and grounded.
I dunno, I think heat is very good for women, I feel like it supports our hormones (and interesting how cold actually boosts testosterone). Men and women really are polar opposites 🔴/🔵.
And finally, I’ve been using this red heat lamp:
This is another thing I learned from @theedgecontent. The “infrared” rays are supposed to be very healing and again, good for your hormones.
It’s also just good in the winter when you aren’t getting as much sun. It stimulates thyroid hormones which keeps you energized.
I did a lot of research on which bulbs are best…this is the one I ended up getting.
And I bought this clamp attachment to plug it in.
And apparently, you should ground the heat lamp because it can emit EMFs, so I bought this alligator clip/grounding plug device.
And it’s weird, because even when it’s grounded, I feel the heat waves coming off the lamp!
Like I feel the waves going into my body! I guess I didn’t consider that before buying it. That my body is so sensitive, I would actually feel the waves.
But it’s fine if I use it more far away. But I really do feel it 😮…
Takeaways:
Yes, my life has slowed down because of school and work, but I think it’s happening just in time for winter ❄️.
Ok, that’s it!
I’m putting together another flash readings post, this time on TV and movie writers, so you can expect that sometime next week 📧.
