Salwa Kyobe's spiritual wellness routine
Jenn’s note: Hi guys! I’m so excited to share this post with you! I’ve always wanted to do guest posts like this, it was part of the reason why I started blogging in the first place. I LOVE hearing about what other spiritual girls (and guys) do in their day-to-day lives, how they cultivate their spiritual connection throughout the day and how they stay grounded in this world.
I had a manifestation session with Salwa Kyobe a few years ago, and trust me…I REALLY needed it! This was when I was going through my twin flame turmoil, and what I loved about Salwa’s approach, was that she is all about bringing manifestation and spiritual practice into the here and now…into the day-to-day moments. What can you do this minute to align with your truest and most authentic self? And me, being someone who spends 90% of her time in alternate dimensions lol, this “coming back to myself”, seeing reality for what it really is and honoring yourself for who you are right NOW, is…very refreshing take!
Here is Salwa’s spiritual wellness routine, enjoy!
My journey to creating deeper intimacy with myself began after a rock bottom in 2017. It was at the end of celebrating New Year’s Eve that I finally broke down.
I had been detached from myself for so long and the thought of going into another year emotionally shut down, scared, and pretending to have it all together finally hit its breaking point. Once I became honest with where I was, the books, teachers, and healing modalities effortlessly made their way into my life and I never looked back.
In 2020 I became a coach for a wellness brand, where I was able to utilize my natural skill of understanding people’s patterns, and behaviors to help them align with the kind of life they wanted to live.
In 2023 I made a stronger commitment to myself and decided to venture out on my own and to build my business Fundamental Hunger. A platform that discusses how we come back home to ourselves, and how to do so alongside others.
My spiritual wellness routine:
(note: these are not affiliate products, just sincerely what I am using!)
1. Daily multi-vitamin
I began taking Perelel when I was pregnant with my twin boys. They are a great company that provides vitamins and supplements for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, PCOS, and overall daily health needs.
I am currently taking the Mom multi-pack and my partner takes the Men’s multi-pack.
2. Day planner
My Passion Planner. Since becoming a mother, I rely on my calendar even more so, but I still cherish hand writing my thoughts, and to-dos. This planner is great! I am able to intuitively jot down things I need, and things I would like to accomplish, while also using it in tandem with my electronic organization tools.
3. Surrounding myself with florals
It was kismet when I ran into the founders of Botanical Brothers in Fort Greene, a neighborhood in Brooklyn. They have a lovely flower delivery service at a great cost and I have a new bouquet delivered to my doorstep once a month. They are always stunning! I love creating moments of splendor, and items that make me feel cozy, sexy, and soft. These flowers always do the trick!
4. My tarot deck
The Shrine of the Black Medusa deck from Little Red Tarot. I am certainly not a professional, but I love pulling my cards and looking up the meaning. It is a simple way to tune into any looming questions I have, but didn’t realize I needed to ask, and receiving what the deck has to share with me with no attachment to the outcome. I use this as a way to tap into my intuition, and feel into my body. I always connect with what the deck has to say. It’s magic!
5. Daily movement
My devotion is hot yoga, but I had to pause that while I was pregnant. Thankfully I will be returning next month and I can’t wait! I go to Modo Yoga here in NYC and the hot room is truly where I feel at ease and in my body.
While I paused hot yoga, I did pilates at Fort Greene Pilates, and at home workouts with the Sculpt Society.
Practicing movement at home was and still is a game changer. They are quick, but challenging. Moving my body always feels like a relief to me. When I am feeling frustrated, or stuck, it tends to dissipate after I have moved my body in some way.
