How I manifested my dream winter apartment (step-by-step) + the importance of following your intuition

Another post on manifestation!

Over the past few months, I feel I’ve “unlocked” some manifestation secrets. When I came back from my UK/Ireland trip, I manifested 5 job offers in one day?! I write more about this process in this post:

Secret Musings From The Astrals
How I manifested 5 job offers in 1 day (+ my daily zen routine)
So, I did something kinda random on my way back from England…

And NOW, a few months later I manifested my DREAM apartment. Finding an apartment like this in my city (and at this price) is crazy rare right now, trust…

And, I’ll say that the rent is basically the same as what a room in a condo with roommates would cost. I knoooow, what a good deal 😮

So this whole journey to manifest my perfect winter apt started a few months ago.

I knew I had to be in the city for January 1st to finish my semester at university.

I also knew I wanted a comfortable place to stay that’s well suited to me.

Some things I had on my “list”:

  1. Laundry in the unit

  2. A bath tub that’s clean

  3. On a quiet side street

  4. Living either alone or with just one other person

  5. Space to do home workouts

Those were my “main wants” to start off.

So here’s how I was eventually led to my final manifestation:

1. Apt viewing #1

Note: ^ the pictures I’m using aren’t the actual apt, just a close representation of it to give you an idea of the style!

The first apartment I went to go see was in a house in the west side of the city. Walking up to the house, I didn’t LOVE the area.

I don’t like living in areas of town that are known to have lots of homeless people. I just don’t feel safe in those areas. This was on a “side street” in one of those areas, so actually wasn’t that bad.

The apartment itself was nice, there was a super cozy living room with nice lighting. The bathroom was “fine”, but the bathtub wasn’t super clean and usable. But that’s not a deal breaker for me.

When I looked at the actual room, I instantly knew I couldn’t live in there. The ceiling was just TOO low! It was a loft room in the attic and I couldn’t picture myself walking around with just a couple inches between me and the ceiling. So, I had to say no.

But it was kinda hard!

Because the one girl who lived there was like an ANGEL. We instantly had this really nice, clear connection.

I don’t know about you, but when I stand close to certain people, I feel a resonance in our energy fields and sometimes it feels REALLY good!

We felt like kindred spirits, like we were made of the same “stuff” ✨.

We both knew that if we lived together, it would be seamless and would probably be best friends. It was like an Anne & Diana situation.

(If you haven’t seen Anne with an E on Netflix, plz watch, it’s one of my favourite shows, period. Super nourishing to the soul 😌.)

After I said no, she actually offered to give me her own room and she would take the attic! That’s how much she wanted me to move in! But it would have been more expensive and since the area wasn’t super amazing and there was no laundry, I figured it wouldn’t be worth it. So I had to just say no 😔.

And people say that when you start to manifest something you will get “tests” from the universe. This is 100% true in my experience.

This test was pretty easy to pass because the low ceiling was such a big NO in my mind. It just made it impossible to even live there.

2. Apt viewing #2

The next apartment I saw was also with one other girl.

It was on a quiet side street in a NICE area. One with lots of cool stores and not a lot of homeless people. I would not hesitate to live in this neighbourhood for a second.

The apartment was actually a whole house. Her dad bought it for her (it seemed like she came from a rich family).

Everything about it was great. There was laundry, the bathtub was clean! The furniture was basically new. There was hardwood throughout. There was even a fire pit “table” on the back porch, which was pretty cool.

She also had a home gym, so definitely space for me to workout.

It seemed like the perfect place

BUT…

This is yet another test! Dang…🤦‍♀️

Because when I talked with the girl, I could tell we maybe wouldn’t get along.

She had a lot of strong opinions on certain “political issues” and I kinda picked up that if I ever said something “wrong” even just starting a discussion, it would maaaaaybe turn into an argument.

Also…there was an Amazon ring?! Like those doorbells that record you (and apparently record conversations that happen in the house).

I generally don’t like that surveillance stuff and she had a lot of “smart” technology like a Google Home and all that. I just don’t like that kinda stuff.

But, the main deterrent was that we didn’t have good energy between us.

So…I had to say no!

And she also really wanted me to move in. She even gifted me this expensive sparkling juice before I left and offered to buy me a desk and other furniture if I needed it.

But again, this was a pretty easy no. I could NOT picture myself living there.

Funny how this is like the polar opposite of the previous viewing? Where the girl was amazing but the living conditions weren’t. And this one was an amazing, immaculate house, but the roommate didn’t resonate with me.

Easy NO.

Onto the next…

3. Apt viewing #3

So this test was a little more nuanced…

It was in an old building in the west side of town in a neighbourhood that I loved! Probably my favourite neighbourhood in the whole city!

When I walked into the place, I instantly loved the decor. It was so unique. There were dried flowers everywhere which is part of my soul essence 😏.

***I share a soul essence journaling exercise in this post if you want to dive more into your soul’s preferred aesthetic.

There was dark hardwood throughout the apartment which…is also part of my soul essence. Agh…this apartment is going straight for the heart.

The style reminded me of early 1900s, there were all these cool, secret cabinets everywhere.

This was kinda what the cabinets looked like:

There was laundry in the unit, so check ✅ on that one. My bedroom was big, so there would be room to do workouts…check ✅.

It was in a good neighbourhood BUT…in a kinda busy area. My bedroom was dead quiet though, so…semi check (✅)

The bathtub was super old, like the house, and I didn’t think I would use it. I kinda gave up on the bathtub thing because I don’t think I want to bathe in the city water actually 😛. So, I let that go by that point.

As I was talking to the girl, I got a similar feeling of resonance (like the first girl), it was like we were already best friends.

We both LOVED musical theatre (which is not so common to find). So it was cool to finally talk to someone about little-known Sondheim shows and other musical theatre geekdom 🤓.

She also was very chill and really suited my personality. But more than that we had this exciting energy between us and gave me the feeling that if I lived there, we would have a ton of fun together.

I also felt we had past/parallel lives as fairies, but obviously didn’t say that out loud 😛.

She also had a dog! Which I was excited about, but also a little worried about in case it barked in the mornings. But, it didn’t seem like it did.

When I left the apartment after viewing it, we even held hands for a second, like we didn’t want to let each other go! That’s how strong the connection felt! It was almost electric⚡!

She also said that she would subsidize my rent and would paint my room any colour I wanted if I moved in!?

So with this place…everything basically made sense on paper.

  1. I had a strong connection with the roommate which was important to me

  2. The decor was totally in line with my soul essence (the dark wood and flowers)

  3. There was room to workout

  4. Laundry in the unit

  5. A relaxing atmosphere

It was pretty dang perfect!

BUT….when the time came to say yes, I had a pit in my stomach.

And THIS is something really important to listen to when you are super close to manifesting something.

Using your intuition to manifest

So I told this girl that I just needed 24 hours to decide and she said ok.

And over the course of the 24 hours, I went back and forth in my head about what to do.

Because…I logically “wanted” to say yes, but something in me didn’t want to!

When I thought about saying yes, my body would kinda clamp up which didn’t make sense logically, especially when we had such a strong connection.

But…I decided for ONCE to listen to this feeling of tightness in my body and wait until I found the apartment where my body doesn’t shut down.

See…this is your intuition talking to you and it’s a very powerful force! You could have energetically picked up on something that you aren’t consciously aware of.

Or…you’re predicting something bad will happen in the future if you say yes, even though everything seems perfect “now”.

So…I told her no. And was happy I did…but for the next few days I went back and forth in my head constantly, wondering if I should have just said yes…kinda regretting it.

This was a really hard test.

But, it still felt “wrong” to say yes to it.

So NOW…I was like…floating in black space, waiting for my “full YES apartment” to come through.

Here’s how I got through this period:

1. I stayed connected to my heart space: doing this for long periods keeps your desperate, worrying energy from spiralling out and blocking your final manifestation from coming through.

I did this by meditating everyday using this method to keep my heart and energy in balance while waiting for my manifestation.

I swear, this has been the single most important tool for me in my manifestation process. It’s literally the final thing that opens the gates and lets my manifestation come through into 3D.

2. I gave myself a safety net: My goal was to find a place for January 1, but I knew that giving myself a strict timeline would cause me to emit desperate energy into the universe which will block the apartment from coming through, so…I came up with an alternative scenario on what I would do if I didn’t find a place until Feb 1 or even March.

Before my final apartment came in, I was staying at my Mom’s in a town nearby and would commute into the city to see these apartments.

I was also occasionally sleeping over at my sister’s house when I would come into the city.

I asked my mom “if” by any chance I don’t find a place by January 1st, if I could stay another month with her and continue to commute in for school. And she said, “yes of course! “

Luckily we get along pretty well and do all kinds of cooking projects together, so she actually likes having me around.

So just knowing I had that safety net allowed my brain to kinda take a rest and not get so stressed and controlling about “when” it will come through.

For me it was shelter that I needed a safety net for. If you needed money, for example, maybe all it will take is inquiring at the bank to see if you would qualify for a loan if you needed one (you won’t actually take it, just checking to see).

3. Journal exercise alert!

I would also urge you to journal out your safety net scenario if what you want to manifest doesn’t come through. If, for example, you want to be in a relationship by…”Valentine’s Day”, journal out what you would actually do on Valentine’s Day if you were single.

Plan out your ultimate Valentine’s Day! And you’ll find that you’ll start to drop the importance and urgency around your manifestation.

4. Apt viewing #4…the final stop!

(shown in the video at the beginning!)

So the final apartment came through at the beginning of December.

I had been doing my heart-focused meditation everyday (this was seriously key) and had it in the back of my mind that I don’t “really” need it by January 1, because I have my safety net plan.

I found my final place on a Facebook group. It was available until the end of March which was perfect for me because that’s around the time when my semester ends and I like the idea of having the freedom to travel until I start school again in September.

So, I contacted the girl to view it. The pics looked really good AND it was a couple blocks down from a crystal shop 😮.

AND, it was on a really chill street with no homeless people because there’s not a lot of stores.

A couple days later I went in for a viewing.

Everything about it was GREAT!

1. It was super warm (apt #3 was a little drafty, but I didn’t really realize that was important to me until I stepped into this final apt)…see how it’s not so important to have a list/vision board? What you want will change as you go along the process.

2. The kitchen was super cute! Reminds me of Linguini’s kitchen in Ratatouille.

3. The decor was vintage, which is right up my alley.

4. There is TONS of room for me to workout (more than 3rd apt), it’s like a mini dance studio in the living room!

4. She had this picture on the wall, which is weird because this picture literally follows me everywhere I go (took it as a mini sign 😛)

Also, the girl in the painting totally looks like me 😳? Weird…

5. Bathroom is great, bedroom is great. Everything is perfectly setup.

6. The landlord barely ever comes around and the people in the building are so friendly and kind and they all have good vibes.

I had also just recently sold a lot my stuff before I went travelling, so the fact that I have a fully stocked kitchen and an apartment fully decked out with furniture is very helpful. There’s even a flat screen TV and an $800 chair for posture correction 😮.

And here’s what surprised me…

It didn’t have a useable bathtub (it has a bathtub but it’s kinda rusty) and…it doesn’t have laundry in the unit.

And…I thought those things were important to me, but…again, I don’t actually want to bathe in the city tap water because of the high chlorine, so…I’m not so hurt by it.

And…on this street specifically, there are very “high class” laundromats 😛 with high tech washers and espresso machines. I was actually excited to try them out 😂.

The most important aspect though, was…I didn’t have a pit in my stomach when I said yes. I felt clean, clear and uplifted throughout the viewing.

There were no doubts creeping into my mind like in the other places. I didn’t feel bad or confused. And was excited for the opportunity to have a place all to myself (which I haven’t really had before).

Takeaways

When your manifestations start to get close, you WILL be tested. And I’ve discovered that the way to know “what to do”, what to say yes to and what to say no to, is to literally listen to how your body is reacting.

Do you have a pit in your stomach?

That’s your answer.

If you are feeling clamped up with the prospect of accepting or saying yes. It’s a NO.

For all you know, you’re predicting something bad happening in the future if you say yes. I swear, this is a thing. It’s like a bad unexplained feeling. OR, it could be a sorta bad feeling but you don’t want “sorta bad”, you want really good!

And you have to just trust that your actual thing is gonna come through after you say no by keeping a balanced in your field.

And for people who have a pit in their stomach most of the time…what relieves that feeling of tightness?

Whatever that is…go with that!

This is our intuition in action. Our bodies are like compasses and can be used to lead us to our ultimate manifestations ✨.

Craaaazy stuff, but I found out first hand how important it is to listen to your body.

Have you ever gotten a SUPER subtle test before your ultimate manifestation came through?
